This is the biggest problem with the post. The OCR text implies psilocybin synthesis creates a chirality issue (racemic 50/50 mirror-image mixtures) that natural production avoids. But 𝗽𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗼𝗰𝘆𝗯𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗻 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗻𝗼 𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝗹 — there's no carbon bonded to four different groups, so the molecule is achiral. There is no "left-handed" or "right-handed" form of psilocybin to separate or worry about, and synthetic psilocybin is not racemic in any meaningful sense. The general chemistry described (racemic mixtures from non-chiral synthesis vs. enzyme-driven homochirality) is accurate as a 𝘨𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘭 principle in organic chemistry (true for things like amino acids), but it's misapplied here — psilocybin just isn't a chirality-relevant molecule. This makes the "entourage effect 𝘢𝘯𝘥 chirality" framing in the caption partly built on a false premise. Claude
